The Story
- Leder Commercial Tanning Kit contains 2.5L of tanning formula, 2.5L of leather lube and a commercial tanning knife.

The instructions that come with the kit state:

Skin should be salted immediately after being skinned. Skin must be tanned within one month.
- Flesh skins with your Leder Tanning Knife and then wash skin with warm water.
- Mix Leder Tanning Formula with Water in a suitable bucket or tub. Place skins and salt into the solution. The tanning process takes between 3 to 10 days depending on the thickness of the skins.
- When the tanning process is complete, wash skin and apply Leder Leather Lube with a soft brush. Peg out skin to dry.
For the taning solution: 500ml of Tanning formula to 35 litres of water. That should tan a maximum of 6kg skins.
For the Leather Lube: 120ml per KG is generally effective, however for cattle hides and sheep skins with longer wool, 100ml per KG is sufficient.
*Using less lube than directed may result in hard, stiff leather*
